Pitbulls Puppies - History
American Pitt Bull Terrier is the full name of the bred, but nowadays it is often referred to as Pitbulls. The breed originated with a cross of the old-time Bulldog with the English White Terrier. The original aim of the breed was dog fighting and puppies were encouraged to be dog aggressive. But a human aggressive Pitbull was a bad example of the breed and has to be culled. The hint of people aggression in such dogs led to disqualification from the breeding stock.

Today, this breed is used as companion and working dogs; they are able to search and rescue people, herd cattle, guard the house, and take part in sport. Pitbulls are loving pets for children and senior people. The breed is registered by UKC, NKC, ADBA, CKC, APBR and is classified as terrier group.
Pitbulls Puppies - Grooming
Pitbulls are average shedders; they require occasional brushing and bathing. A rub with a towel will make the coat gleam. These dogs drool and may be very active indoors. Pitbulls Puppies - Health
The average lifespan for Pitbulls is 12 years. The breed is relatively healthy, but some individuals are prone to hip dysplasia, like the majority of large breeds. Hereditary eye problems and allergies to grass are possible. Due to short coat, Pitbulls cannot stand cold and hot climates and should wear dog sweaters and shirts.
